Welcome to our new collection. We are proud to explain how and why these designs came about.
The designs have been created to symbolize the 'Journey' we have taken to get Plain Bear where it is today. Below are some basic descriptions of what each design means to us -
Greenwich - Our back bone of the brand. Our original location and start up. We have bled tears and grinded for the last 11 years at the heart of the village. Using red and blue to symbolise the connection to Greenwich's history in the navy, we decided to double side this print to represent our past having our back.
River - Our trips to and fro, for London and sheffield consist mostly of the delightful M1 or via train that runs alongside it. Either early morning or late night driving, the darkness is only brightened by the bright yellow lights of fellow travellers.
7-peaks - Sheffield, our home for our studio and print shop, is nothing but hills! If you have not been to this location of the world, you might not know that there are 7 peaks that wrap around and in Sheffield itself, leading to the phrase, '7 hills of sheffield. We put this on an orange tee due to the heritage of its industrial nature and its iconic crucible creation that lead to much stronger steel.
Generally, creativity comes from around our day to day lives, and we hope the above inspires you. Either that or you think like 95% of people that ask, and it's all just doodles ;)
