Let’s not mess around, we are a simple clothing brand. Always working with the ethos of originality, we view less is more regarding design. With our studio now based in Sheffield, but with strong roots still in London, we create as much as we can inhouse. It is our passion to keep as much creativity as possible within our own walls.
All apparel designs are printed on our 4 pallet, 6 screen carousel. Flashed dried, belt cured, we fold and pack with care, all by hand. Our Jewellery is hand mixed, poured, sanded and polished, with perfect little imperfections. The signature labels on our beanies and in our garments are sewn on by our talented team of seamstresses.
We’d love for you to become a fan of our brand, or welcome back if you already are. We hope to offer 5-star customer service so if you have any questions, please ask away. Otherwise, go have a good butcher – (shop link here)

Please send to the above address with clear instructions, also above. Refund shall be in full (minus any postage costs and any deals offered upon purchase). Currently, we do not offer gift vouchers but hope to have some in the pipeline soon. However, we are more than happy to exchange any items that were purchased in good faith for the receiver but wanting a different design. Please see our return policy for more information.

You are more than welcome to order with us and collect in person at our Sheffield shop. For London pick-ups, please reach out beforehand as we might not have the required item in stock. Arrangements shall be made, and a date given for due collection.

If we have your order printed, we try and have them posted out within 2/3 working days. All items are sent tracked second class signed for, (the price of postage these days is silly) via Royal mail. Typically, this takes between 3-5 working days to reach you, sometimes quicker, sometimes a little longer. If you have still not heard anything within 20 working days, let us know your order number, and we shall chase it up and supply the tracking code.

For all locations and opening hours, please see here. We do sometimes run pop ups and appear at other markets. If you wish to be kept abreast with these, simply follow us via our social media platforms listed below –

Here at Plain Bear, we have a wide net of suppliers. We aim to make sure we work with fairtrade, honest and transparent factories. Alongside this, using environmentally sound products in our process and studio. All inks and chemicals are harmless and as natural as possible, causing no nasty run off.

For our apparel, the printing and labelling are all done by hand in our Sheffield studio, UK, alongside with our Jewellery. We have sourced our tees , produced in a mix of Turkey and Pakistan. Our sweaters are made in Turkey. All caps are produced in Hongkong.

Yes, we do. It is currently a flat rate of £10 to any international destination. So, the more you purchase, the better the deal! Please do be patient with deliveries though as they can sometimes be held up in multiple locations while waiting for their next movement.

The bear is a play on our ethos, ‘less is more’. ‘Plain’ and ‘bear’ can both mean clear and simple, which helps us to develop our identity. All our designs are based on this concept, keeping it clean and clear. The bear motif represents this by giving a generic silhouette, by neither affirming to type but by being obvious at the same time.

As with everything, it all comes back to individual taste. But to keep it as simple as we can and just to give you a slightly better understanding, our sizing goes as follows –

Tees – tiny but longer than usual but do come up a little on larger bodies as they are seamless and wrap around.

Sweaters – mostly a casual fit and (as an example only) if you are usually between the two sizes, go for the larger option. Tiny bit of shrinkage with first wash due to the organic cotton (hang dry upside down)

Long sleeves – These are designed to be a little loose. So recommend sizing is typical but if you want the more looser look go one size up.

All caps – one size fits all as they all come with adjust straps on the back.

Beanies – one size fits all. From tiny kids heads to the ‘nothing fits my head’ type

Jewellery – We are currently working on having more options for sizing, but the current sizing choices are –

16 inch – sits just below the collar bone.

18 inch – more relaxed look, resting on the chest bone.

For sizing measurements of tees and sweater, please see here

All our products come with washing instructions on their label, but we are happy to offer a bit more detailed advice –

When washing any of the apparel items, we highly recommend 30° as a maximum temperature. Anything above this might cause the print to distort and lose its colour. Never tumble dry and if possible, dry hanging upside down as this allows the garments to stretch back into shape
The caps and beanies are slightly more delicate. We recommend washing these in lukewarm water by hand. Upon drying, try to keep their shape as they dry or place on head and then put back on the line so that they are moulded once again, keeping that fit you love
Jewellery shouldn’t really need much care. But if wanting to get a sparkle back, we suggest a damp cloth and giving it a slow and steady rub. Same with the chain. Allow to dry before wearing again to make sure no excess water picks up extra.
